SystemVerilog technical committees will soon be back in business

The P1800 study group agreed today on their “Project Authorization Request” (PAR) for SystemVerilog-2012. (I don’t know details of the additional bureaucratic hoops a PAR must jump through before it’s official, but I think there are unlikely to be significant changes in the PAR.)

They also authorized the technical committees to come out of suspended animation, each with the mission of prioritizing a top-25 list of issues to work on, taking into account input from the Feb. 26, 2010 requirements gathering face-to-face.

The next work product from the P1800 study group itself will be a project scope document.
